Hello, Dear Crafters and Gardeners!
Welcome to the fourth edition of the Finish Your Crafts Journal! This fall and early winter brought thoughtful change, reflection, and plenty of behind-the-scenes work. While fewer things were shared publicly, a lot was happening privately—and that's worth celebrating, too.

✨ Life + Creative Updates
As we close out 2024, I've spent time decluttering and downsizing the supplies I've accumulated over a lifetime of making. My husband will be retiring in 2026, and we're beginning to prepare for that next chapter—which includes simplifying our home and creative spaces.
π§Ί Organizing years of supplies
π Sorting vintage tools and materials
π¦ Letting go of "someday projects" that no longer serve my goals
While it's been hard at times, clearing this space has opened up clarity, inspiration, and room to focus on what truly brings me joy.
𧡠New Projects and Intentions
This season's progress wasn't measured in uploads or stats—it was more about making intentional choices for the future of Finish Your Crafts.
✨ Reorganized and downsized my workspace
✨ Identified unfinished gift projects I want to complete
✨ Recommitted to blogging and posting in 2025
✨ Finalized plans to transition fully from WordPress to Blogger
- And while I didn't publish new YouTube content this quarter, I'm still progressing toward monetization. My AdSense account is close to reaching the first payout threshold!
Making Space: A Lesson in Letting Go
One of the most significant shifts this season was realizing how much stuff—even craft supplies—can weigh us down.
Sometimes, we think we're saving things for "someday,"
when really, we're delaying our best work by holding onto clutter.
If you've ever felt overwhelmed by the things you own, you're not alone. I've learned that creativity thrives in clear, intentional spaces. And that mindset will shape my work in the future.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we begin a new year, I feel energized by a fresh start. On the horizon:
𧡠Finishing two long-overdue handmade projects.
π¨ Painting and decorating a rocking chair for my grandson Zeke (who turns 2 in February 2026!)
π Creating and sharing holiday-themed crafts
π Preparing vintage pattern downloads for Etsy
π₯️ Finalizing the website transition and focusing on storytelling + studio life
Thank you for sticking with me through every season—both busy and quiet. Whether you're crafting every day or simply dreaming of your next project, I'm so grateful to be on this journey with you.
Cheers and Best Wishes!
—Wendy
